Beverly graduated from welding school in 1995 and for several years she worked in large welding factories on the West Coast. In 2001 she moved to Carlton, GA. There she set up her workshop and began creating her incredible steel sculptures.
Since then she has had shows in several galleries, including Galapagos Art Space in New York City (2002), Jittery Joe’s in Athens, GA (2005), and at Ciné in Athens, GA (2009). She won First Place prizes for her sculptures in the 2008 and the 2009 Lyndon House Juried Art Exhibits. Beverly has also built fences, signs, chandaliers, gates, and even a 60-foot-long steel foot bridge for various buildings in Athens, adding class and charm to our little town.
She is currently working on a commision to build an 8' x 14' x 5' reproduction of an 1844 fire engine. Here’s the first set of wheels.
